Counting Calories

It just might be the death of me. Or at least that is what I thought on Saturday when I started it. I totally cheated and ate a huge bowl of ice cream Saturday night before bed. I was SOOO hungry! Since then, however, I feel like I have been doing AWESOME! I am only eating 1200 calories or less each day. I only went over on Saturday and the past 2 days have been way easier. I am so happy. Also, my vitamins should be in the mail tomorrow so that should help keep my energy and metabolism up.

I can't even begin to explain how proud I am of myself. I know that it has only been 3 days, but I do not do well with dieting and losing weight. This is big for me. According to my calorie counting app, if I keep it up I should lose 2 lbs. a week! Awww yeahhh! That means I will be down 40 lbs. by June. Perfect timing to bust out the bikini!

I'm going to make this shirt a true statement!
(My shirt says "Future MILF". Picture was taken when I was 17 weeks pregnant with Ethan).

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog! And good for you for deciding to drop the weight! I have PCOS which was a possible factor in our fertility when we tried to get pregnant so for the months beforehand I worked hard to get down 15 pounds - successfully!! Course that's all gone now that I actually did get prego, haha...but a site called fitday.com helped me a lot with the process! Good luck!

  4. fitday.com IS awesome, if you can stick with it. :) Just as a word from the "wise." Losing more than 2-3 lbs a week sounds wonderful, but can leave you with saggy skin flaps because your body won't have enough time to adjust to the lost weight. It' much better, and healthier, to lose slowly, but consistently. Good luck Meg, I know you can do it!!

  5. Yeah, I would LOOOOVE to lose like 10 pounds a week but my boobs are saggy enough for only being 20 years old! Darn babies! ;)

  6. 1200 calories is not a lot of calories. Are you sure that is what you need to lose weight? Your body might fight back and go into starvation mode and hold on the calories. I suggest going to site like sparkpeople and figuring out how many calories that you can actually eat. You may be surprised to learn that it is a lot more than 1200. Eat clean. No processed foods. Exercise and the weight will come off. I agree with Nik it is better to lose it slowly than lose a bunch and gain it all back. I have a healthy tag in my blog if you are looking for some recipes. http://creatingnirvanatoday.blogspot.com/search/label/healthy
